Zombie Walk was Sunday and for the most part it was a huge success! There was a great turnout of zombies of all kinds. Soldier zombies, zombie punks, roller-zombies, baby zombies, zombie clowns, zombie Elvis, you name it, it was zombified. We all met at London Bridge Pub and walked around downtown as a giant horrific mass for about an hour. We were careful to stop at all crosswalks though. Heads were definitely turned and while the Jags were busy losing, we were having a blast.
The walk ended at the river and we were told to wait around for the after-party to start. I'll give the organizers a break on this one because it was a last minute change of venue but you just can't keep the people, especially the walking dead, waiting like that. A lot of folks began to trickle out and head home (it was a Sunday afternoon after all) and by the time we made it to TSI, they still weren't quite ready. We did eventually make it inside for a few drinks and a round or two of pool, but then the bands weren't quite ready and there was no sign that the costume contest was about to begin so we left.
Don't get me wrong, the day was awesome and the walk was hella fun. Now we have some lessons learned for the next time. Don't miss out on this event next year and I'm sure all the wrinkles will be ironed out by then.
Be sure to check out Maverick Zombie Jenny's pics as well.
