Audio Interview - DJ Timmy Harp


This is my first installment of a series of audio interviews I am just beginning to start. It's a bit of a rough recording but much to workout as well as getting used to being heard.

I sat down August 13th @ Shanty Town with Brooklyn's own Timmy Harp. He was spinning heavy soul veneered in funk along with morsels of garage rock and latin boogalo.

- Worked as Assistant Engineer in Dave Siteks(TV On The Radio) Staygold studio, on the following projects:

Celebration
Green Milk From The Planet Orange
TVOn The Radio
The Ohsees

- Remix Programming for:
Lee Scratch Perry
NIN
Massive Attack
TV On The Radio

- Extensive touring with TV On The Radio working as an instrument tech, monitor engineer, guest percussionist, and spiritual guide.
-Producer, Mutli Instrumentalist,Fendor Rhodes, Engineer, and one third of the critically heralded Brooklyn exotic hardbop group , Power Douglas.
-Plays Farfisa Organ in Brooklyn garage/punk outfit Fostercare.
-Co-Producing an exploratory New York based Esen Lp to be released this winter
-Producing an expansive Ep with Kush Shalimar of Written House (Philly).
-Composer and cacophony czar on Names (formerly Furor Thin of Power Douglas) new full length.


AKA NAMES

Names (formerly Furor Thin of Power Douglas) is calibrating burgundy decibels with Timmy Harp and Jesus Brown who among the molotov of composers for his new full length.
Names newest endeavor once its completed will differ in tonality, hue, and content.
