Downtown Visions Open House 9/17/09

I was debating whether or not I wanted to post these for a couple reasons. One, they were taken from my camera phone and two, I was seeing if we were going to actually get the space we wanted.

First off, this has been something in the works for a good three months. Me and about ten others have been looking for a place or an opportunity to move into a space and work on future projects. I want to say Jim Draper might have something to do with getting this rolling. One day he came to us saying that Downtown Vision was working on getting business owners to offer unused/ unlivable space downtown for artists to come and work downtown.

I am happy to announce last week after numerous e-mails and phone calls about seven people and myself are moving into one of these spaces. I also want to say the landlord and Downtown Vision have been ever so helpful in helping us make this happen. We are having our first art show during November's Art Walk. Please stop by to check it out and support us moving downtown. Our first show is an open call so anyone who wants to put something in the show is welcome. Also, if I'm not mistaken, there are more spaces available. Contact Downtown Vision for more info and become our neighbors.
