(Dec. 2, 2009 -Photo exhibit)

Jacksonville, FL 32202
Benefit: The photo project will help raise awareness and funds for the DogMeetsWorld.org charity.
Cost: Free.
Idea: Daniel will take one photo of each person. Every photo will be taken as if it's on a film camera and it's the very last frame on a roll of film. One click, no looking.
The photos will be displayed on Fotobia.com 1 week later. An exhibition will be held at the Main Library during December's Art Walk.
Goal: This photo project aims to show "A Slice of Jacksonville." Daniel hopes that the project will show people's guarded and unguarded moments in that first click of the camera's shutter. This is part of a long term photography social study called, "A Slice of Florida: Portrait Series." Daniel says, "when you say Florida, most people think, oranges, retirement communities and Disney. Florida has become younger in age and spirit. It's not all pink flamingos. There are so many diverse communities and sub cultures. I want to capture that and document it for others to see."
Daniel also has a goal is to shoot as many people as possible from 6-7:45pm. "This is the first street photo shoot of it's kind as far as I know. We have a goal to set a record on how many portraits I can shoot in the given time frame of less than 2 hrs," says Daniel. "It should be interesting to see if we get 2 people or 700. Somewhere in between would be great!" The first series in the photo project was shot in Tampa, FL "A Slice of Fetishcon" in August. Next came "A Slice of Bead Culture" and "A Slice of Tattoo Culture" both were photographed in Jacksonville, FL.
***UPDATE*** We're giving away passes to the early birds for movie premieres. First shoot first served. Thanks to www.eujacksonville.com for donating the passes!
